Messages 91 Reactions So, I'm on the fence in regards to buying one, but I'm also fairly new to the AR platform. Are there brand specific things to watch for, should I be looking at other manufacturers at the same pricepoint, do these parts come from a tin shack in the ghetto of a third world country, etc?
Any input is appreciated. Bronze Supporter. Messages 7, Reactions 12, Stag is a reputable brand name. Honestly, there are few and far companies that churn out truly bad ARs and even then its bits and pieces. Now nearly all will "work" The fit and finish may differ but the BCG and barrel are the only real distinguishing factors.
Go for it brother! John Gault clackamas county. Messages 1, Reactions Having said that If you factor in all the "extras" that I've put on it since then I'd have saved money by purchasing a nice brand name receiver and building up from there. Wanting a lefty ejection was also a factor for the Stag Arms purchase for me. Have Fun! Messages Reactions In general, I have heard good things about them, in terms of quality.
If you just plan on shooting 55 gr. The B here? Messages 4, Reactions 3, There are "better" options than Stag for that price There are definitely different grades for these guns You'll also see people refer to this as "tiers," but only complete homos use that term. Better to think of it like tools And don't expect good results, even once or twice a year.
If you're not a "pro," you probably don't need "pro-grade" stuff. Explore them all thoroughly before you buy.

High reliability, orgasmic trigger yet completely suitable for combat , and high accuracy without going to a " barrel 16" m4 barrel with carbine gas system If you plan to keep it till you die, don't cheap out on it.
Get exactly what you want. I couldn't care less about resale value for my build as I never plan to sell it! Messages 2, Reactions Very happy With my stag arms rifle. Weeks went by with no answer and no email even acknowleding I contacted them. So I did it again and again and not response. Fed up I contacted my credit card company to do a charge back.
They asked I at least try that first. So I went to Stag Arms website and once again filled out their contact form telling them how disappointed I was in their customer service, how I had tried contacting them multiple times with no response etc, and that to cancel my order. Now mind you….
So obviously somebody is monitoring the website form submissions. So instead of reaching out to me to try to make it right, apologize for their lack of updates, etc. Can you imagine how they will treat you if you should ever have an issue with their product?
Called them 5 times with a promise of shipping soon. Charged my cc right a way and still no Upper. Get emails from them daily about sales and specials. Still no Upper…. We apologize about the lack of communication on your order from November. We understand your frustration with your product being shipped as well, and would like to discuss your experience further.
My longest wait on the phone was 30 minutes, and that was the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, when they were super-busy processing all the orders from the weekend sale. All other calls were around a 5 minute wait. Their Contact Us info is at the bottom of every page of their website. The number is We apologize about the lack of communication on your order. While we do have our contact information on our site, I understand how it could be missed because it is at the bottom of the page.
We did receive a high volume of contacts during that time period and were unable to respond to each within our desired time frame. We would like to hear about your order experience, as it will assist in improving in the future. My order was placed 3 weeks ago for a complete upper. No humans were contacted as each call went directly to voicemail. Finally, success! I reached a young lady that said there were only TWO people that handled customer service and one was out. One more week, and this order gets canceled…by the way I laughed at the author of this piece when he bragged on their customer service…Caveat Emptor!
We appreciate your time in giving this feedback, and we apologize about the lack of communication on your order. I know your added feedback will assist us in future improvements, and would like you to reach out to us at [email protected] to discuss your experience further. Having same issue with no response from customer service, purchased a Stag on Black Friday, all I want is an estimated shipping date, willing to wait but the lack of communications is really bothersome. For now I am still waiting but I do have limits, new buyers beware.
I would like to hear more about your experience, as I know it would further assist us in improvements to our team. Shipping took some time, but, I am very satisfied with the quality components I received. I recently ordered a Stag 15 Minimalist Upper to convert my frankenstein to a bonafide complete Stag rifle. Patience is a virtue, guys. Where Stag Arms lacks in shipping speed and customer service- they more than make up for with quality assurance and pride in their workmanship. Just an update as I have read all the comments about lack of visibility and delays in shipping.
Ordered an upper last night and received email this morning that item had shipped. Please feel free to reach out to use with any questions to [email protected].

I call BS on this outfit. I had a great experience with the product and customer service was spot on. I just placed another order since some stuff went on sale. I spoke to a rep several times they have been slammed with demand because their product is so popular and adaptable. Rick Bergen is VP of Sales and good to work with.
They use email and have direct extensions. Thank you for your feedback on your experience with Stag Arms. We strive to have this type of feedback with every order that comes through our business. I ordered 3 weapons in Dec. My card was charged Have made several calls to them and I get the same response, it will ship soon..
I want to order 2 more guns but because of this delay, I will never buy another gun from stag arms. Thank you for your feedback on your experience, and I apologize your order has taken so long to ship.
I would like to hear some details on your order, if possible, could you email us directly at [email protected]. We appreciate you taking the time to let us know your thoughts.
When if ever did you receive the 3 that you ordered? Sounds like a nightmare. Hope they took care of you. Stag Arms has amazing products. I however have to say they have deplorable customer service. I am on week 5 waiting for an upper I was told would be ready in 3 weeks. Keep every email you send them. Include your travel expenses and put them on notice.
If the public keeps buying from them they will not change. You as the public must demand better service to get it. Terrible customer service, bought a 9mm tactical and the mag falls out of the lower. They know they have an issue, service had 2 options to fix on their first email.
Future customers stay away until they fix their company. I have been in contact with several departments with in Stag. Still no resolution. I purchased a 9mm tactical. When contacting service they had a response prepared about mass produced item. Service is responding every other day suggesting they had an issue with a whole run of lowers. Their customer service is terrible. I suggest buying else where. And notice the responses are 3 months later.
Stag is not concerned about customer retention. I currently have issues with a 9mm tactical not holding the mag. Stag still has terrible customer service. Their excuse for this poor quality was it is a mass produced item. Service responds every other day so they must be getting hammered with problems. I suggest you shop else where. Granted, no rail on the M4 to attach preferred items but still, the trigger pull delivers the same result. Not sure why Stag 15 M4 does not get props as a battle ready firearm.
